Burau Bay is a relatively hidden beach that’s located along Langkawi’s western coastline, approximately a 10-minute walk from the Langkawi Cable Car. Featuring a pristine beach that spans two kilometres, the beach overlooks the majestic Gunung Mat Cincang, Seratosa Island, and Burau Island, which is a known roosting place for migratory birds.
While the middle part of the beach is open to public, both ends of Burau Bay are flanked and privatised by five-star resorts, namely Berjaya Langkawi Resort and The Danna Langkawi. Boasting sea-facing chalets, full-service spas, limousine services, and diverse dining options, these accommodation options are ideal for those looking to enjoy a relaxing holiday in Langkawi.

Notable landmarks such as Langkawi Cable Car, Oriental Village, and Telaga Harbour Park are accessible within a five-minute drive from Burau Bay.
Most of Burau Bay’s upmarket dining options can be found within Berjaya Langkawi Resort and The Danna Langkawi, featuring authentic Malaysian, Japanese, Indian, Thai, and European delicacies as well as extensive alcoholic offerings. If you prefer a more casual dining experience, the neighbouring Telaga Harbour Park is lined with expat-owned pubs, chic cafés, and international restaurants that stay open till late.
While Pantai Cenang and Pantai Kok hosts plenty of beachfront restaurants and bars, as well as some of Langkawi’s prominent attractions, Burau Bay is an empty and undeveloped beach area, making it a great retreat for those looking to enjoy a tranquil getaway.
