Jala at The Andaman, a Luxury Collection Resort, Langkawi is an al fresco restaurant with breathtaking sea views, offering a mix of Malay and western-style seafood dishes. Featuring plenty of wooden furnishing, a sand-filled floor and glass panels overlooking Andaman Sea, we highly recommend wearing comfortable clothing and flip flops as you’ll be dining right on the Datai Beach.
There’s a Daily Fresh Seafood section, where you can find fresh fish, crab, prawn, and squid that are sourced by local fishermen on the island. After selecting your choice of seafood, Jala’s team of kitchen staff can then prepare it according to your desired cooking method, sauces and sides. A staff is also available to advice on dressings and accompaniments to pair with your order.

Jala at The Andaman Langkawi Highlights
Alternatively, the restaurant’s a la carte menu comprises a selection of poultry and beef dishes, as well as sweet treats with a local twist. One of its signature dishes is Jalaksa (RM52), which has king prawns and barramundi in panko, poached egg, wanton noodles, and spicy laksa gravy. If you’re not a fan of spice, try the slow-cooked seabass (RM95), served with baby courgette, bok choy, smoked mashed potato, broccoli couscous, and Jala signature sauce.

For dessert, we highly recommend the coconut cremeux (RM42), served with passionfruit-kaffir lime sorbet, coconut sorbet, green mango salad, and rice cracker. Cheese lovers will enjoy the Old Amsterdam and figs (RM40), a sweet-savoury combination of fig compote, sous vide red wine pears, homemade raisins, Old Amsterdam cheese, and crispy rye bread. Drinks-wise, all coffee and tea at Jala Restaurant are served with complimentary Malaysian coconut or tapioca pancake with toffee.
Jala at The Andaman Langkawi is open from Tuesday to Sunday between 18:00 and 22:30. Located in Datai Bay, the beachfront restaurant is accessible within a 40-minute drive from Langkawi International Aiport.
