Padang Matsirat Nightlife
What to Do at Night in Padang Matsirat
You’re not likely to see people partying till the wee hours of the morning in this part of Langkawi Island. In point of fact you’re more likely to see village kids illegally joyriding on motorbikes along the deserted roads and lit-up kampong houses with the owners inside watching the telly.
Situated along a fairly undeveloped beachside, Padang Matsirat is quiet once the sun goes down. You can find one or two hotel bars that’ll be open but they’re not likely to be the most hopping nightspots. If you’re looking for hot nightclubs in Langkawi then take a short drive down to Pantai Cenang or Pantai Tengah, both of which boast better nightlife.
Laguna Beach Bar
This bar is in no way a particularly crowded one but still a good place to unwind with your choice cocktail and savour the sun setting in the horizon as you sit on a deck chair by the beach. You may see other patrons enjoy a game of pool or you may have to fly solo with only the bartender keeping you company. If all else fails you can simply kick back and watch the telly.

Padang Matsirat may not play host to good dining venues, cultural-style boutiques and a plethora of spas, but it does have a night market on
Sunday nights opposite the Field Of Burnt Rice. The street is transformed into a lively bazaar of hawker food stalls, tourist-friendly trinket booths and farmers selling their produce.
