What to Do at Night in Padang Matsirat

Padang Matsirat nightlife is exceptionally laidback as you’re not likely to see people partying till the wee hours of the morning in this part of Langkawi Island. In fact, you’re more likely to see village kids illegally joyriding on motorbikes along the deserted roads and lit-up kampong houses with the owners inside watching the telly.

Situated along a fairly undeveloped beachside, Padang Matsirat is quiet once the sun goes down. You can find one or two hotel bars that’ll be open but they’re not likely to be the most hopping nightspots. If you’re looking for hot nightclubs in Langkawi then take a short drive down to Pantai Cenang or Pantai Tengah, both of which boast better nightlife.

Laguna Bistro

Laguna Bistro is in no way a particularly crowded one but still a good place to unwind on a deck chair by the beachwith your choice cocktail, dine on deli-style beach snacks, and enjoy the sun setting in the horizon. Set within Langkawi Lagoon Resort, the beachfront bar also hosts seasonal live band performance that plays island music and reggae favourites all night long. Patrons can also enjoy a game of pool or simply kick back and watch the television for the latest sports matches in Laguna Bistro.
