Pantai Cenang Attractions
What to See in Pantai Cenang
![]() Excitement is the key-word in Pantai Cenang, and visitors will enjoy the hub of activities available here. The Pantai Cenang beach is itself the most popular attraction due to its beautiful sandy beach that faces a pleasant and gentle sea. Visitors can also visit Pantai Tengah, which is a shorter beach that is contiguous with Pantai Cenang or see marine life in the Underwater World Langkawi.
Pantai TengahPantai Tengah literally translates to ‘Middle Beach’ in Malay. This is Pantai Cenang’s sister beach that is contiguous and stretches for another 1 km. When combined with Pantai Cenang, this becomes Langkawi’s longest beach and undoubtedly the most popular. Water sports and beach activities are some of the things you can do here, besides visiting the many shops and watering holes spruced up along the beach.
Underwater WorldThe Underwater World Langkawi in Pantai Tengah is a treasure trove of marine life. Visitors will get a chance to walk through a tunnel that teems with fish at the sides and view various aquatic and tropical creatures. Thousands of tropical and marine fish species are housed here in an elaborate display of tanks and corals. Among the marvellous creatures on display are leopard sharks, trigger fish, sting rays, clown fish and moray eels. Besides the fishes housed in aquariums, the Underwater World also has a dry section where birds and mammals are displayed in open-air enclosures. They include macaws, otters, snakes and marmosets.
