Pantai Kok Nightlife
What to Do at Night in Pantai Kok
![]()
|
With the backdrop of the majestic Mat Cincang Mountain and lush greenery all around, Pantai Kok is the perfect setting to spend a quiet night of fun dining or pleasant drinking. The atmosphere is definitely not one of the party kind, but more of an elegant and casual feel that should appeal to corporate professionals and families on vacation. In Pantai Kok, the two locations are the Oriental Village and Telaga Harbour Park.
Oriental Village
The Oriental Village is a beautiful landscaped garden with specialty shop houses. Among the many retail outlets found here are some nice restaurants that serve Asian and international food. Mizumi is a Japanese restaurant with an authentic atmosphere and fresh sushi served amidst the backdrop of a Japanese garden. The Oriental Bistro serves Western cuisine such as the usual steaks and lamb chops accompanied by live music. Then there’s the Thai Krathong restaurant with sweet and spicy cuisine and finally the Dolce Vita & Café that serves French breads with good coffee.

Telaga Harbour Park
A relatively new area in Langkawi, this marina has a long row of shops that house fine dining and trendy bars, cafes and restaurants. Enjoy Italian food from Mare Blu, seafood cuisine from Pulau Pulau, Russian delights from USSR and Indian food from the budget Al-Maz Restaurant. Of special note is the fancy bakery here called the Loaf, which is actually run by a Japanese entrepreneur with the partnership of Tun Dr Mahathir, Malaysia’s fourth and former Prime Minister.
