Pantai Kok Shopping

Where to Shop and What to Buy in Pantai Kok

Shopping in Pantai Kok is ideal if you’re not too keen on the idea of heading over to Pantai Cenang or Kuah for your shopping needs. Although it’s primarily a quiet spot for rest, relaxation and yachting, the Oriental Village is a good place to get some souvenirs as well as handicrafts. You’ll see loads of tourists at any given time of day, browsing the stores and bargain-hunting. A major portion of the shops here retail duty-free goods, casual attire, souvenirs as well as handicrafts and prices here are quite competitive.

You can get chocolates, batik prints, liquor, perfumes, sunglasses and tobacco at many of the stores but you’re better off getting them in Kuah where they’re cheaper. Many of these stores also sell souvenirs in the form of wooden carvings, ceramic figurines and engraved objects while cultural products such as Batik shirts and floral dresses are also almost always readily available.

Bobble Heads

This kiosk sells little bobbing bobbleheads – collectible dolls with oversized heads connected to the body by a spring in such a way that a light tap will cause the head to bobble. They’re really quite fun and kids especially will have fun playing with them; some of these bobbleheads come in fun Asian styles so they make perfect souvenirs.

  • Opening Hours: 09:00 – 19:00
  • Location: Opposite Lot B-06, Oriental Village, Teluk Burau
  • Tel: +604 959 4225 (Langkawi Cable Car) or + 604 9667789 (Langkawi Tourist Information Centre)

D’zura Shoppe

This is another store selling a collection of souvenirs, batik prints, handicrafts and kitschy knick knacks but the best things here are the reasonably priced swimming suits. A bathing suit elsewhere on Langkawi can cost quite a lot but here prices are more than reasonable.

  • Opening Hours: 09:00 – 19:00
  • Location: M03, Oriental Village, Teluk Burau
  • Tel: +604 959 4225 (Langkawi Cable Car) or + 604 9667789 (Langkawi Tourist Information Centre)

Eagle Shoppe

Eagle Shoppe is another store in Oriental Village which sells a collection of souvenirs, handicrafts, batik prints and other assorted goodies. The store also offers cold drinks and snacks, making it a one-stop shop for famished shoppers! The most bargain-worthy items in Eagle Shoppe, however, are the colourful fridge magnets which are a great way for visitors to commemorate their vacation on Langkawi Island. We recommend the gorgeous and intricately designed Langkawi magnet of an eagle taking flight, paying homage to the iconic Dataran Lang (Eagle Square) located near Kuah Jetty.

  • Opening Hours: Daily 09:00 – 19:00
  • Address: Lot B-01, Oriental Village, Teluk Burau
  • Tel: +604 959 4225 (Langkawi Cable Car) or + 604 9667789 (Langkawi Tourist Information Centre)

Foot Apparel kiosk

Selling an extensive array of flip flops and slippers for adults and kids, this little kiosk – located beside the Dropstone Café – is really the best ‘store’ in the Oriental Village. You can get cute little bunny and ladybug slippers for a steal! The lady who operates the stall is super-friendly and will be glad to help you choose the perfect kicks.

  • Opening Hours: 09:00 – 19:00
  • Location: Opposite Dropstone Café, Oriental Village, Teluk Burau

Langkawi Geopark Enterprise

Located beside the Langkawi Cable Car ticket booth, this store is the perfect place to get your kitschy souvenirs as well as genuine batik apparel. The store is air conditioned so it’s a welcome reprieve from the outside heat; you can bargain with the shop girl but sticker prices tend to hold out.

  • Opening Hours: 09:00 -19:00
  • Location: C-04, Oriental Village, Teluk Burau
  • Tel: +604 959 4225 (Langkawi Cable Car) or + 604 9667789 (Langkawi Tourist Information Centre)

Oriental Village Handicrafts

Located next to the Segway rental store, this is another shop in Oriental Village that offers an assortment of handicrafts and souvenirs. Its one of the better places to get magnets and key chains at reasonable prices; you’re not going to be able to get better prices than the sticker prices so don’t bother haggling with the shop attendants.

  • Opening Hours: 09:00 – 19:00
  • Address: B-07, Oriental Village, Teluk Burau
  • Tel: +604 959 4225 (Langkawi Cable Car) or + 604 9667789 (Langkawi Tourist Information Centre)

Oriental Village Souvenir Store

Selling souvenirs and handicrafts, this store’s main emphasis are the T-shirts with slogans on them. They’re reasonably priced but the slogans are not terribly imaginative. You can get these shirts anywhere on the mainland so stock up on Langkawi souvenirs instead unless you’re desperate for a T-Shirt.

  • Opening Hours: 09:00 – 19:00
  • Address: B-06, Oriental Village, Teluk Burau
  • Tel: +604 959 4225 (Langkawi Cable Car) or + 604 9667789 (Langkawi Tourist Information Centre)

Sunglasses kiosk

Selling an extensive array of sunglasses, knick knacks and handicrafts, this kiosk is the perfect place to get dirt-cheap ‘sunnys’. True they may not be Diors or Ray-Bans but they’re perfect if you’re simply looking for cute yet functional eyewear.

  • Location: Opposite Wadah Samudera, Oriental Village, Teluk Burau

The Zon Duty-Free

True to its name, the Zon Duty-Free Emporium is the only retail outlet in Pantai Kok that sells chocolates, perfumes, and tobacco products at attractively low prices. It is one of the smallest Zon outlets in Langkawi, but it offers a substantial array of items including gift and souvenir items, clothing, jewellery, stationery items, watches, and branded sunglasses. The Zon Duty-Free Emporium is also the only outlet that sells tax-free alcohol from many parts of the world, so visitors who have missed out on a visit to the Zon Duty-Free shopping complex in Pantai Cenang can easily stock up on wines and liquors during their visit in Pantai Kok.

  • Opening Hours: Daily 09:00 -19:00
  • Address: A-01, Oriental Village, Teluk Burau
