In Langkawi, snorkelling and diving can be done in the Pulau Payar Marine Park, which is 19 nautical miles off Langkawi Island. Langkawi does not have any proper dive or snorkelling spots, but Pulau Payar is a fantastic place for such activities that some consider even on par with Tioman and Redang.

Calm and placid with moderate winds, the waters off Langkawi make for perfect sailing conditions. In recent years Langkawi has become a recognized sailing destination with a few marinas located around the island, playing host to events such as the annual Royal Langkawi International Regatta.

Horse-riding
The Mutiara Burau Bay Equestrian Centre opened in 2004. The stable of horses is impressive and there are ponies for the children too. Visitors can ride horses under the supervision of a team of dedicated handlers, going on a ride through Langkawi’s lush jungle and up the peak of a picturesque mountain.
Most of the horses are rehabilitated race horses given a new lease on life in the tourism industry.
In addition, the professional horse handlers will teach visitors how to properly ride and steer. A trip here would make for a wonderful outing with family or friends.
